Chairman, House Committee on Sports, Youth and Social Development, Honourable Adedamola Kasunmu,has charged corporate bodies to join forces with the Lagos state government in the development of sports

Honourable Kasunmu who is representing Ikeja constituency 2 in the State House of Assembly, was at the final  the Capdan Unity Cup held at the Agege stadium said Lagos state is blessed with talented athletes who, with just a little support, can become world beaters in no distant future.

PRESENTATION… Capdan Vice President Boniface Ania, Sole Administrator, Agege LGA, Gbenga Abiola Capdan President, Ahmed Ojikutu jointly present the First prize cheque to captain of Ositelu Lane FC.

He praised the efforts of the president of Capdan, Ojikutu Ahmed for organising the football tournament which he said has thrown open new talents for not only the state but the country as a whole

Ositelu Lane FC emerged winners of the maiden edition of the TD/Capdan Unity Cup after defeating Idowu Lane 4- 3 on penalties after the match ended goalless

Ositelu Lane FC carted away the sum of N500,000 for their triumph while the runners up,Idowu Lane FC went home with N200,000.

The tournament which kicked off in November had over 20 teams in attendance
