Enugu: A middle aged man allegedly hacked his wife to death over an unestablished issue  between the two at Nchantancha Emene, Nike, in Enugu dying minutes later.

The deceased couple identified as Francis Okonkwo Uzo (41) and wife Mrs Ozoemena Uzo (40) were allegedly   having a misunderstanding and trading invectives when allegedly, the husband pounced on her, inflicted various degrees of injury all over her body and left the house while sympathisers rushed her to Anunciation hospital, Emene Enugu where she was confirmed dead.

Sources revealed that nobody could say what transpired between the couple that led to the death of the woman, but   before the operatives of the homicide section of the police criminal intelligence and investigation department of the state police command could arrive the scene, the man was said to be speechless, mopping at people and was immediately rushed to the same Anunciation hospital   for medical attention and was later confirmed dead.

Ebere Amaraizu, SP, Enugu State Police spokesman who confirmed the incident said that the deceased couple have been deposited at Anunciation hospital mortuary while   full scale investigations have commenced to unravel the circumstances surrounding the unforturnate tragic incident in the state.
