Aisha Buhari

Awka—THE Association for Universal Moral Education Nigeria, a non-governmental organisation, NGO, will today in Abuja honour the wife of the President, Hajia Aisha Buhari, and wife of Anambra State governor, Mrs. Ebelechukwu Obiano, for their commitment towards improving the condition of the less-privileged in the society.
They were specifically selected for their roles in uplifting widows, touching the lives of the needy and getting involved in good governance.
Also to be honoured by the group are former Ebonyi State governor, Dr. Sam Egwu and his wife, Eunice, for their roles in promoting free education and caring for the less-privileged.
National Co-ordinator of the association, Rev. Sr. Nwodo Therese, told reporters, yesterday, in Awka that the association’s aim was to encourage those who were making efforts to bring back morals among Nigerian children through education.
