ABUJA—DEPUTY Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, Wednesday, joined numerous other persons to congratulate Mr Eze Anaba, on his new appointment as Vanguard Editor.
Ekweremadu, who described Mr Anaba as a thorough bred professional, who has paid his dues in nation building, equally commended the outgoing editor, Mr. Mideno Bayagbon for taking the paper “a notch higher and writing his name in gold in democracy and nation building.’”
Senator Ekweremadu, in a statement, in Abuja, through his Special Adviser, Media, Uche Anichukwu, extolled Vanguard for its reputable role in nurturing the nation’s democracy, saying Mr. Anaba was a good choice taking the Vanguard banner higher in the Nigerian media industry.

He said: “This is no doubt a well-deserved appointment given your professional pedigree, experience, high ethical standard, and leadership qualities. You have paid your dues, working your way up the rungs through the years.
“I am confident that you will distinguish yourself and build on the successes recorded by your predecessor to justify the enormous confidence reposed in you by the Management of Vanguard Media Limited.
“Therefore, I congratulate you most heartily and pray God to grant you the grace and all that it takes to continue on the path of excellence.
“It is also my earnest hope that this serves as your stepping stone unto higher ground in your selfless service to fatherland.”
