Yola—Governor Bindo Jibrilla of Adamawa State has threatened to sign into law the white paper of the late Justice Umaru Boboi Judicial Panel of Inquiry that investigated and indicted the administration of former governor, Murtala Nyako, between 2007 and 2014.

“The white paper has been on my table since I assumed duty. I only decided to keep it in my drawers and if forced to do so, I will append my signatures to it,” the governor threatened, yesterday.

Jibrilla, who issued the threat in Hausa language during a  visit by a political group, Team Bindow, said comments from Nyako’s political camp was undermining the efforts of his administration which was concentrating on providing dividends of democracy to the masses.

The governor said the records were there for any interested person to decipher who, between his government and that of Nyako, mismana-ged the resources of the state.

According to him, “I have no intention to expose anybody, but if pushed to the wall, I swear in the name of Allah and Qur’an, I will sign that white paper against Nyako’s government which, as I am talking to you, is on my table.

“It should be on record that I am not afraid of anybody in this state, only that I am respecting people as ordained by my religion. It is unfortunate that some people, not minding their status and age in our society, are lying to their followers against us, all in the name of working to come back as governor of our state by all means.”

Commenting on the road network projects in the state, Jibrilla challenged Nyako to be bold enough to tell the people of the state the truth about how they inflated most of the roads constructed by his government.

Governor Jibrilla also challenged his critics, saying former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, was his father and not a political godfather or political associate.
