ASABA—AIDES to Governor Ifeanyi Okowa of Delta State, have donated N500,000 cash and office equipment worth thousands of naira to the Aniocha North Local Government Area chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Speaking on behalf of the group under the aegis of ‘Forum of Governors’ Aides’ in Aniocha North council, the state Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, Chief Dan Okenyi, said the action was borne out of the need to assist the party in the council to acquire a benefiting secretariat for the use of the party and to meet other administrative needs.

Flanked by the Special Assistant to the Governor on Media (Electronic), Amaechi Udemba, Senior Special Assistant (Special Duties) Ifeanyi Egwunyenga, Senior Special Assistant , Kingsley Azuh, Senior Special Assistant on Conflict Management , Mr Uche Nwehi, Special Assistant on Community Development, Ike Uwagwu, Special Assistant on Protocol, Samuel Ifejoku and Mr Kainebe Siunoje, Okenyi said that the forum will continue to play its role in assisting the party to achieve success in the area.

Appealing to party members, particularly the women and the youths to key into the state government’s job creation programme and micro credit scheme to better their lives, he said the gesture was a way of giving back to the people.

He said that the group will continue to assist the PDP in the council to thrive.
