Tips to improve irregular periods

Today we are going to be looking at some things we can do to improve monthly menstrual periods. In this article, I will be giving a few tips on what you can do to improve scanty periods. The first tip is exercise. If you are somebody who’s period is scanty or has different colours (not bright red), it could be that the blood isn’t flowing to the uterus the way it should. Just walking a few times a week especially before your period starts, you might find out that the circulation will help your blood to flow more easily.

Warm water is another effective tip. Use a hot water bottle and place it on your abdomen just before your period or during your period, to help blood circulation.  Most importantly, starting from today, try to drink a lot of water and eat healthy food.

Drink 7-8 glass cups of water every day and eat proper food and don’t snack on junk food. Make sure you are eating properly. This may sound obvious but it is not always easy.

Try to eat  three proper meals at least every day and make sure the food you are eating is rich in iron and healthy and contains carbohydrates, protein, vitamins, fats and oil, dairy, and the rest of them. The picture below will give you a guide as to the quantities in each food group and healthy food examples.

Another thing you can do is take the chasteberry fruit supplements. It helps to regulate hormones problems with the menstrual period as well. Also fruits like grapes are also considered useful for regularising irregular periods. Drinking grape-juice on daily basis can help you a great deal. Apart from that, you can also eat raw grapes and make it a part of your diet. This will help you in the long run. However, excessive consumption of grapes is not good. It can cause loose motions.

You can also have bitter gourd juice. Although bitter in taste, it is supposed to be one of the effective treatments for irregular periods. You can have in in either forms – juice or decoction. When taking the former type, have it twice daily and if you prefer the latter form, you can have it once or twice daily, as per your wish or requirements.
