ABUJA- CHAIRMAN, Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Senator Ahmed Makarfi Wednesday held a meeting with PDP National Assembly Caucus at the National Assembly Complex, saying that the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC has reco‎gnised his leadership of the party.

Makarfi who disclosed that the Committee had already met with INEC, said that for the electoral body to invite the committee to a meeting was an indication that it had gained the recognition of the commission, adding, “yesterday (Tuesday), we attended our first official engagement after taking over.

It was a meeting convened by INEC. And for us to attend a meeting convened by INEC and make useful contributions, that should tell everybody what that means.”
