The victim, in the petition by his counsel, U. C. Agboma, alleged that body injuries were inflicted on him by the said Army Corporal as a result of the beating.

Agboma, in the petition, alleged that his client, Akoje, was at Oando Petrol Station to buy fuel on April 23, 2016, where he met the said Corporal beating up a young boy.

Saying that he and other persons intervened to broker peace and asked the boy that was being beaten up who also came to buy fuel to leave the petrol station, the said Corporal went to the Army base and returned with other five soldiers, “armed with guns and other weapons,” called out his client, Akoje, from the queue and beat him up.
