KANO- Abubakar Rimi’s younger brother Alhaji Sule Sa’a says the Emir of Nasarawa, Dr Hassan Ahmad did advised the  late Kano born politician,  to cancel the night journey.

Sule Sa’a who sustained scalp injury during the encounter with robbers between Darki and Gadar Janar in tears explained  that ‘Rimi insisted on the journey to enable him meet some commitment in Kano’.

He certainly had no premonition about his death, as he walked gallantly into the den of robbers around 10:00pm and developed strange illness after the encounter.

Rimi had gone to attend the presentation of staff office to the emir of Dass, Bauchi, Alhaji Bilyaminu Usman alongside his younger brother and personal aides.
