WIfe of former President, Prof. Uche Azikiwe has paid tribute to erstwhile Inspector General of Police, Chief  Sunday  Adewusi  who passed on recently.

She said the deceased IG would forever be on the minds of Nigeria for his quintessential service to Nigeria.

Adewusi whose remains will be buried on April 8 at his Ogbomosho ,Oyo State home was an Aide de Camp, ADC, to the late Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe .

In her emotion laden  tribute , Mrs. Azikiwe said the death of Adewusi was painful, but a clear fulfilment of the Biblical statement that everything that has a beginning must have an end.

She wrote:  “… So the exit of Chief Sunday Adewusi from Mother Earth now, after a life well spent in rendering a meritorious service to Nigeria in the Police Force, is divine.”

She recalled:   “According to my husband, late Dr Nnamdi Azikiwe, GCFR, Chief Sunday Adewusi, as his ADC, was a very accomplished, dignified, committed officer.

Meanwhile, late Adewusi’s Day of Tribute will take place at MKO Abiola Hall, Ladoke Akintola University Technology, Ogbomoso.
