A 29-year-old man, Omoregie David, yesterday, appeared in a Gudu Upper Area Court in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, for allegedly threatening to kill one Azeta Friday over a girlfriend.
David of Waru village, Apo, pleaded not guilty to a three-count charge of criminal trespass, intimation and mischief contrary to Section 348, 397, 327 of the Penal Code.
Prosecutor Urom Inah said Friday of Waru village in Apo, FCT, had reported the matter at the police station on March 14.
Inah said the defendant had gone to Friday’s shop with a knife and threatened to kill him because they were both in a relationship with same girl.
He said that the defendant broke a clipper worth N10,000 and a N20,000 mirror in the complainant’s barbing salon.
The judge, Alhaji Umar Kagarko, granted bail to the defendant in the sum of N30,000 with one reliable surety in like sum.
Kagarko said that the surety must reside within the jurisdiction of the court, and adjourned the case till May 25 for hearing.
