Lagos—the management of some recreational centres in Lagos yesterday, said they were fully prepared to entertain picnickers and visitors during this year’s Eid-El-Maulud, Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

They said this in Lagos that revellers and their loved ones coming to catch fun  at the parks should look forward to a befitting and exciting environment.

The Federal Government had declared today, December 25 and 28 as public holidays to mark the Eid-El-Maulud, Christmas and Boxing Day celebrations.

Mr Abraham Ololade, Chairman, Rosellas Amusement Park, Lagos, said the management of the park had improved on its facilities at the park to ensure that visitors have the best of experience during the celebrations.

“On Friday, there will be games plays and musical blast with a variety of danceable songs.

“The park has a large expanse of land with various facilities, games, kids’ equipment and other exotic creatures to entertain visitors,” Ololade said.

Also, Mr Deji Rhodes, Manager, Freedom Park, Lagos, said the place had been decorated and ready to receive picnickers during the festivals.

“We plan to hold several comedy shows during which Afro-beat bands and artistes will thrill our guests.

“Adequate security has also been put in place to ensure the safety of lives of our honorary guests,” Rhodes said.

Mrs Ngozi Umeodinka, the Manager, Oshodi Heritage Park, said the park was set to accommodate visitors and fun-seekers during the festivities.

She noted that several families had booked spaces at the park to entertain their guests.

Lagos suspends restriction of movement

Meantime, the state government has suspended the order restricting vehicular and human movement during the monthly environmental sanitation exercise scheduled for this Saturday.

Free bus service

Also, the state government has approved the provision of free ride on all Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and LAGBUS buses across all routes in the state.
