Nnewi —Bishop on the Niger, Rt. Rev Owen Nwokolo has called on President Muhammadu Buhari not to ignore the report and recommendations of the last national conference convoked by his predecessor, former President Goodluck Jonathan, saying that implementing them would go a long way to address some problems that are causing agitations in the country.

He said “The former administration saw the need for discussion and dialogue, and need for Nigerians to sit down to solve and settle some national questions, and resolve the issue of common existence in order to have lasting and sustainable peace in the country, that is why we want the President not to ignore report and recommendations the conference.

“Nigerians gathered for months and huge amount of money was spent to organise that conference, to waste or ignore the report and recommendations is a disservice to the nation, we still believe that the President will look into it,” he said.

Bishop Nwokolo said this in his Christmas Message to Nigerians and the people of Anambra State, he delivered in Onitsha, Anambra State.
