The Managing Director of Flykite Productions and promoter of GOtv Boxing Night, Jenkins Alumona, has disclosed that his outfit has put to rest the problem of power outage during its promotions.

He has therefore assured that future promotions will no longer experience power outage, as was witnessed in the last boxing night.

In a chat with media men at his office in Ikeja, Alumona said, ‘’what happened that night will never rear its ugly head again because we have purchased three 150kva generating sets to be on standby. We won’t be depending on the generating set provided by stadium management.’’

Reviewing the past promotions with a team of journalists, Alumona said he was happy that the GOtv Boxing Nights have impacted positively on the Nigerian boxing scene. ‘

’I have noticed a tremendous growing enthusiasm for boxing among Nigerians and people are beginning to want to identify with what we are doing,’’ he said.

Alumona, however, noted that it is not all rosy as potential sponsors are yet to key into it.

‘’Most have adopted the wait and see method. I believe once we are consistent and we are able to attract the desired crowd to the fights, things are bound to change for the better,’’ he said.
