Ogbomoso (Oyo State) – Most Rev. Samuel Abidoye, Spiritual leader, Cherubim and Seraphim (C&S) Movement Church (Ayo nio), on Friday urged Nigerians not to relent in praying for the country.
Abidoye made the call at the 46th Mount Horeb programme of the church, held at Galileeland in Orile-Igbon, near Ogbomoso, Oyo State.
He said that the incoming administration led by retired Maj. Gen. Muhammadu Buhari must be supported to succeed.
“All the religious groups must support him with prayers,’’ Abidoye said, noting that there was a lot of work for the incoming administration to do to move the nation forward.
He said that it was prayers that saved Nigeria from post-election violence after the March 28 and April 11 polls.
Abidoye, popularly known as “Baba Aladura,’’ said that the members of the church had gathered for this year’s Mount Horeb programme to once again fortify the nation with prayers.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the spiritual leader, at the ceremony, ordained a total of 388 prophets and prophetesses.
Abidoye charged the newly ordained priests to rise up to the task of their new status and not to disappoint the church of God. (NAN)
