Youths from some states in the South-West Region have declared their support for the re-election bid of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, President Goodluck Jonathan.
The youths from Ondo, Ekiti and Osun states who came in their thousands gave their support at a zonal town hall meeting held in Akure under the auspices of the PDP youth wing. They said that the future of the Nigerian youth is better secured in the hands of the PDP candidate whom they said is vibrant, younger and result-oriented.
The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Student Matters, Jude Imagwe said Jonathan has democratised access to tertiary education with the unprecedented of 14 new Universities and many other Polytechnics.
Imagwe used the medium to reeled out Jonathan’s achievements in the education, health, road and agric sectors which including the age long racketeering and scam in the fertilizer industry.
He stressed that the Jonathan government is committed to electoral reforms as the party remained the only one that committed to its ideals in the last 16 years.
The presidential aide warned Nigerians not to be deceived by the antics of the All Progressives Congress (APC), which portrays its presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, as a man of integrity and without blemish.
The Deputy National Youth Leader, Dennis Alonge-Niyi, said the difference between the APC presidential candidate and President Goodluck Jonathan is clear.
Alonge Niyi said Nigerians would enjoy more dividend of democracy during the second term of Jonathan.
