Two dead, 27 buses burnt as hoodlums clash in Oshodi

Pandemonium broke out in the early hours of Wednesday at Oshodi in Lagos when two rival factions of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, NURTW, clashed, leaving no fewer than two dead.

Also, over 27 vehicles were burnt during the fracas.

Vanguard gathered that the fight was for the control of parks in the area particularly, as the general election approaches.

Another account said that the fracas which lasted for over five hours before combined team of Rapid Response Squad, RRS and other security agencies quelled it, started after the police attached to the Mosafejo Police Station arrested one person smoking Indian hemp.
