Jos—Hoodlums, Monday, at Gyel District of Jos South Local Government Area, attacked the campaign convoy of the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, in Plateau State, Mr. Simon Lalong, destroying four vehicles in the process.

The incident occurred when the APC campaign train moved from Jos East to pay a courtesy visit on Da Dangyang, the District Head of Gyel.

The Director of Media and Publicity Committee of the Lalong Campaign Organization, Mr. Festus Fuanter, told Vanguard he was shocked at such development when his cam-paign train was conducting its lawful activity.

He said: “This unprovo-ked attack on our convoy by hoodlums at Gyel was, indeed, most unfortunate.

“This barbaric act must be condemned and I commend our supporters for the calmness and maturity they exhibited in the face of the unprovoked attack.”

However, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, DSP Abuh Emmanuel, could not confirm the incident at the time of this report.

He said: “The DPO of the area is yet to brief us on such development.”

Meanwhile, Mr. Simon Lalong has called on Plateau people to come out and massively vote for all APC candidates.
