Lagos—A 41-year-old businessman, Glade Ilevbaoje, and three others were yesterday arraigned before a Tinubu Magistrate’s Court for allegedly stealing alcohol worth N56,000.
The other defendants are Godspower Agbedia 35, a trader, Ndifreke Joseph, 27 a furniture maker and Taiwo Salami, 35, a battery charger.
The defendants, who reside at flat 404, Ikota Housing Estate Ajah, 397, Ikota shopping complex Ajah, flat 412 Ikota Housing Estate, Ajah respectively, are facing a four-count charge bordering on conspiracy, burglary and stealing preferred against them by the police.
The prosecutor, Aondohemba Koti, told the court that the defendants and others at large committed the alleged offences on Novemebr 15, 2014.
He said the incident occurred at Ikota Housing Estate, Ajah, at about 12pm.
Koti said the defendants conspired among themselves and others at large to break into the shop of one Abigael Augustine, to steal five cartons of Star worth N10,000, five cartons of Guilder valued at N10,000, and one carton of Calypso valued N3,000.
