ABEOKUTA—The Social Democratic Party, SDP, in Ogun State yesterday took its campaign to Ogun West Senatorial District through empowerment of youth and women in the region.

The party also presented cash gifts to fourteen traders in Ilaro market whose stalls and wares were burnt down during a fire incident that occurred last week.

The party’s senatorial candidate, Biyi Otegbeye while presenting the cash gift to the victims of the fire incident, disclosed that no fewer that 150 persons have been short-listed for empowerment.

Otegbeye who spoke at Yewa-Awori Youth Summit held at the multipurpose hall of the Empire Ground Ilaro, said he has perfected plans to empower one hundred youths in Ogun West from his private company’s micro credit scheme.

Dignitaries at the event include House of Representatives candidates, Adeniyi Hosu and Dr. Dada, Mr. Tetede, Dr. Banji Ogunbiyi, Chief Shina Adejobi among others.
