PORT HARCOURT— Nigerians in France have held a rally to drum up support for the election of President Goodluck Jonathan and the governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Rivers State, Mr Nyesom Wike.

Coordinator, Wike Diaspora Campaign Group, France, Mr Ukrakpo Henry, in a statement, said they had closely monitored political developments in the country, adding that the re-election of President Jonathan will take the nation to a greater height.

Noting that Wike will impact positively on Rivers State if elected governor this year, Ukrakpo said they took time to critically assess the candidature of President Jonathan and Mr Wike before coming up with a position.

“Nigerians in France had a rally in the city of Paris to mobilise support for the re-election of President Jonathan and Mr Wike. The Wike Diaspora Campaign Group enjoins all Nigerians at home to vote for the duo of Jonathan and Wike for President and governor respectively.

“President Jonathan deserves another chance. Jonathan’s administration diligently implemented its agenda for national transformation in priority areas, that include the expansion of national infrastructure, agricultural development and education.
