There was drama at Kagoro, Kaduna State, Thursday, when the former Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja, stormed out of the Afan festival, following alleged comments by the Chairman of Kagoro Development Association, KDA, Chief Paul Abiyong.

Although, el-Rufai’s supporters said that the former Minister rushed out of the venue to enable him catch a flight for an overseas trip, supporters of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, claimed that Mallam el- Rufai left following the alleged overwhelming support given to both the Vice President, Namadi Sambo and Governor Mukhtar Yero of the state, over the achievements of the governor in the area.

It was gathered that el-Rufai who was officially invited to the ceremony was seated along with Sambo, Yero and other important personalities when Abiyong reportedly expressed appreciation to Yero for his ‘’numerous achievements in their domain,’’ saying that, ‘’like Oliver Twist, the governor should do more, especially in the areas of provision of water, completion of Kagoro Hill Project,’’ among others.
