Pastor Adeboye
GENERAL Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, on the third day of the ongoing Holy Ghost Congress, extolled the virtues of the Great Restorer.
Adeboye said there are several kinds of bondage or captivity in the lives of persons including physical, material, mental and spiritual which often manifest themselves in incomplete projects, moving in circles, unfulfilled dreams and self-inflicted wounds, but when the restorer steps into the situation things change.
According to him, with accelerated progress, mockers are silenced, destinies transformed, while joy begins to spring forth and the praise of God flows unhindered.
Adeboye outlined seven reasons why he is convinced that The Great Restorer would intervene in the affairs of all those in captivity, saying: “Our Shepherd is the Lord, He is stronger than the strongest, His name is above all other names. At His name every knee must bow. We have His Blood, we have the written Word of God, and we know the Lord Jesus Christ.
He explained that there are some people who fall into the trap laid for them by enemies, some are sold into slavery just like the biblical Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers while some are born into slavery.
Pointing out signs that indicated that captivity and yokes have been broken, Pastor Adeboye said there is assurance that captivity can be overturned by the Almighty God. Some of the signs according to him are: progress in all areas of life, rapid promotion, restoration of blessing, mockers beginning to be afraid, destiny restored, unspeakable joy of the Lord springing forth.
He further told the congregation that the only person who is capable of delivering one is God adding that God is an unchangeable God who has the power to turn captivity. “The great shepherd is the Lord of host, His name is above all other names including forces that are holding one down. He will overpower these forces holding us captive and set us free.
“We have the blood of Jesus which is powerful to deliver from invisible forces, we have the written word of God”.
