ABUJA—The Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mr. Stephen Oronsaye has said there is the urgent need for relevant agencies of governments to review the guidelines for promotions in the civil service.
He disclosed this at the end of a two-day review of training modules for capacity building in the civil service. He explained that successful participation in appropriate training programmes, should be a prerequisite for the presentation of officers for promotion examination at all cadres and levels.
To facilitate this new move in the Federal Civil Service, the HOS said that his Office intends to put a memorandum before the Federal Executive Council and seek approval to enable the critical stakeholders modify their operating guidelines accordingly.
