WARRI— A group, under the aegis of Urhobo Youth Empowerment Front (UYEF), has endorsed Rear-Admiral John Onoriode Kpokpogri (rtd) as the next governor of Delta State come 2011.

A statement issued by the political pressure group’s Publicity Secretary, Comrade Peter Abel Akpotu, in Warri, said Kpokpogri was the man God had chosen to liberate and offer Deltans quality governance.

Akpotu noted that Urhobo people were strongly supporting the projects of Kpokpogri to bring transformation to Delta State.

He noted that for the purpose of equity, the Urhobos have decided to support the Isoko-born governorship aspirant for an effective and even distribution of dividends of democracy across the state.

Akpotu, who stated that he was sure of Kpokpogri becoming the next governor of the state, said Kpokpogri would consolidate on the achievements of the past and incumbent governors.
