Lagos—The Lagos State Government has hailed the judgment of a Federal High Court in Lagos which sentenced three Boko Haram members to 25 years imprisonment each for their involvement in acts of terrorism.

Mr Ade Ipaye, Lagos State Attorney General and Commissioner of Justice, lauded the judgment while briefing newsmen on Thursday in Lagos.

Justice Ibrahim Buba of the Federal High Court, Lagos, had on Tuesday handed the sentences to the three men — Ali Mohammed, Adamu Karumi and Ibrahim Usman.
Ipaye said the arrest, prosecution and subsequent conviction of the terrorists, was a clear indication of the government’s commitment to bringing all criminals to justice.

“We want to see them brought before the court of law, dealt with before the law and let people know that there are consequences and that this is a country that is guided by laws,” he said.
