SECRETARY to Edo State Government, Professor Julius Ihonvbere, has described President Goodluck Jonathan’s statement that the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, will “recover” Edo State from the ruling All Progressive Congress, APC,  as wishful thinking.

Ihonvbere said, “if President Goodluck Jonathan likes he can come to Edo State 200 times, Governor Adams Oshiomhole has laid a foundation that will make it impossible for PDP to win the state in a free and fair election. It is the arrogance of power that killed the PDP in Edo State and they are dead finally because our own brother, Adams Oshiomhole, has laid a foundation that nobody can ever forget.”

Speaking in Etsako West Local Government Area, where he commissioned his senatorial campaign office in Auchi, Ihonvbere said, “this commissioning is a mark of victory for us. As we are moving forward, those who will enter here will work for us in good health and from the work we are going to do here, we will intimidate the PDP with the work the Governor has done such that they won’t know when we get to Abuja.”
