The All Progressives Congress, APC, will conduct its primaries for the forthcoming governorship by-election in Adamawa State on September 7.
During the exercise, the gubernatorial candidate of the party will emerge for the election scheduled to hold on October 11.
This was disclosed last weekend by Danladi Lawal, APC National Vice-Chairman for the North-East in a telephone chat with Vanguard.
The APC chieftain further stated that already, about 10 governorship aspirants had indicated interest to clinch the party’s ticket.
“Some of them are Barrister Gus Mustapha, Senators Bindo and Barata.”
“Before Nyako’s entry, the combined strength of those two parties made them the leading party in the state. That was why we resisted the entry of Nyako into the party,” he said.
