AWKA—GOVERNORSHIP candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Anambra State, Professor Charles Soludo has decried the absence of much federal presence in the state, pledging that he would correct the long years of marginalisation when elected Governor.

He also regretted that most communities in Anambra State were neglected by past administrations.
Soludo  said this at Irubi Village Square in Nzam, a community in Anambra West Local Government Area, where he kicked-off his All Communities Outreach, ACO, campaign.

According to him, “The first question I want to ask is this, is Nzam part of Anambra State? What have you done to the government to be abandon like this. I feel pain, serious pain that a government that claims to be responsible could watch for four good years, as people live under this inhuman conditions.”

He further said that ACO  would take him to all the towns, villages and hamlets in the state in a bid to present himself to the people for assessment.

“We have spent more than two hours trying to get to your community through a road that is not tarred and very dusty. Two and half hours to get here and I can imagine what you go through to get produce from your farms to the markets.

“I have not seen any medical centre here, your schools are dilapidated and poverty is very obvious.I want to apologise to you for this abuse and to promise that help is on the way”, he said.
