Uduaghan

Asaba—Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan of Delta State, yesterday, assured that every part of the state was safe and secured for National Youth Service Corps, NYSC, members, saying: “I do hope that youth corps members will be sent to every part of the state because it is an experience that will be useful throughout their life time.”
He gave the assurance when the new Director of NYSC posted to the state, Mrs. Olive Etukudo, paid him a courtesy visit at Government House in Asaba.
He decried the insurgency in some parts of the country and the negative effects it was having on the country, noting that a situation where parents and guardians now want to decide which states their children and wards could be deployed to for the NYSC service year because of security challenges was regrettable.
“As a state, we will do the best we can to make sure that corps members are comfortable both at the camp and during their service year.
“We keep telling those who are master-minding the crisis to have a rethink because the effects of the crisis are numerous.”
