Akure — LAWMAKERS in Ondo State, yesterday, stood down the report of its ad-hoc committee instituted to investigate the suspended female member, Fola Olaseinde for alleged possession of fetish objects in her home.

They said that considering the report would be in conflict with Rule 29(3) of the House which forbids the consideration of any matter before the court of law.

Olaseinde was suspended for three months following alleged discovery of the fetish objects in her former apartment.

When the Chairman of the ad-hoc committee, Olotu Abdulfatai was asked  to present the report, a member, Afolabi Akinsiku raised a point of order citing order 29(3), which stalled the debate.

Akinsiku argued that the “the report presentation is against the Order of the House which does not allow any matter before the court to be discussed.
