WARRI— MEMBER representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Mr. Daniel Reyenieju, has appealed to his kinsmen to embrace peace and engage in serious intra-Itsekiri dialogue as it was the way to resolve the current crisis plaguing the ancient Warri throne.
Reyenieju, in Washington, yesterday, on the current crisis in his homeland, said: “Itsekiri youths, irrespective of the depth of their pains and misgivings over the current happenings in Itsekiriland and particularly as it affects the pristine Warri monarchy, which remains the ontological hub of Itsekiri at the level of the individuality and collectivity, must shun any act that has the potentials of bringing the Itsekiri nation into disrepute.”
The lawmaker, who is currently a member of delegation of Nigeria, led by the Speaker of House of Representatives, Mr. Aminu Tambuwal, to Washington, appealed to Itsekiri youths to shun all acts that could cause breach of the peace.
He appealed to the aggrieved youths to interface with the Warri Traditional Council of Chiefs for correct information on the current crisis, so that rumour-mongers would not feast on the crisis.
