The Director General of the National Orientation Agency, NOA, Mr. Mike Omeri has challenged critics of President Goodluck Jonathan to offer constructive ideas that would help the administration plan ahead for the future.

Omeri, who commended Jonathan for his transformational leadership in the last two years, said it was the duty of Nigerians to point out areas of defect in development instead of the current pull down syndrome by the opposition and other critics of the government.

This was contained in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the NOA, Mr. Paul Odenyi, yesterday.

Omeri said that the Federal Government ‘’has made good strides in several sectors of the economy in the last two years,’’ adding that ‘’the transformation process envisages the participation of all in the task of developing the nation, a duty which,  requires positive attitudinal change and consistency at all times.

“I commend President Jonathan for the boldness in presenting his score card in the open for people to see. It is quite heartwarming that he has also urged all Nigerians to have a look at it and offer constructive criticism, in full realisation that the work ahead requires an evaluation like this.

“It is therefore, a challenge I throw to those who have made a business of criticising the government to come out and offer suggestions on how the next two years should be handled for the greater good of all our people.

“The transformation process starts from the individual and it is a sacred duty of all Nigerians to contribute their efforts in realising the transformation of our dear country,” he said.

Omeri then recommended Jonathan’s mid term report for wide circulation amongst the citizens to ensure objective analyses based on facts and figures.
