PSC promotes 19 policemen

The Police Service Commission yesterday announced the promotion of 13 Assistant Commissioners of Police, four Chief Superintendents of Police, one DSP and one ASP.

According to a statement signed by Ferdinand Ekpe, Chief Information officer, the promotions were in fulfillment of the promise of the commission to reward hardworking and deserving police officers with promotion to the next rank.

The 13 Chief Superintendents of Police officers elevated to Assistant Commissioners of Police are: Ojeka Odama Paul, Edung Patrick Ogon, Kayode Akande Sikiru,  Arop Augustine, Lawal Badara Banji,  Adelayo Adewoye Olukayode, Onyeka B. Nnamdi, Yusuf Suleiman A., Anyasinti Josephine Nneka, Godwin N, Ekot Effiom Emmanuel,  Kanayochukwu Ude Stanley, Mozie Charles Ifeatu

Similarly, the Commission approved the promotion of four Superintendents of Police to Chief Superintendents. Also, a deputy superintendent of police and an assistant superintendent of police were elevated to the rank of superintendent and deputy superintendent respectively.

All the promotions are with effect from October 3, 2012.

Chairman of the Police Service Commission, Mr. Parry  Osayande while congratulating the successful officers,  advised them to live up to the new responsibilities their elevation had placed on them.

He also admonished  members of the Nigeria Police Force to work hard to earn promotion as it is only competence and hard work that would earn an officer promotion.
