AWKA – Minister of Trade and Investment, Mr. Olusegun Aganga has said Anambra State has the highest number of Small and Medium Enterprises, SMEs in the country, saying it is an indication that the state is playing a fundamental role in the industrial revolution plan of the country.

Aganga, who spoke during a visit to Governor Peter Obi at the Government House, Awka, said the fact emerged through a recent survey conducted by the National Bureau of Statistics.

He noted that Anambra was leading in four industrial sectors, including the automobile sector.

According to him, the Federal Government would work closely with Governor Obi and industrialists in the state to fast-track industrial growth and development. The minister extolled the governor for championing the patronage of made -in -Nigeria goods, as well as encouraging and empowering industrialists and embarking on massive infrastructural development at the various industrial zones in the state.
