Summer AI camp 2026 opens free digital skills registration

Registration has opened for the Summer Youth AI Camp 2026, an international educational initiative designed to equip students with practical knowledge and skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and prepare them for opportunities in the digital economy.

The six-week virtual programme will run from July 19 to August 29, 2026, combining AI training, academic tutoring, career development and mentorship to enhance participants’ future readiness.

The camp is sponsored by leadership philanthropist Dr. Calvin Bonds of Hollywood, Global Employment Workforce (GEW) and Monica Aigbe of Megastar Media Communication.

According to the organisers, participants will receive hands-on training in AI applications, including creating AI-generated videos, publishing digital storybooks, producing AI-powered animations, generating music with artificial intelligence and exploring digital entrepreneurship opportunities.

Beyond technology training, the programme will offer free academic tutoring in Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and Physics to help students strengthen their performance in key science subjects.

The camp will also feature interactive career sessions with international professionals from technology, software development, business, fashion and entrepreneurship, providing students with mentorship and exposure to global career opportunities.

The weekly virtual schedule includes: Tuesdays: AI Classes – 6:30 p.m. (WAT), Thursdays: Career Day with International Professionals – 6:30 p.m. (WAT), Saturdays: Free Academic Tutoring – 11:00 a.m. (WAT)

Participants who successfully complete the programme will receive an International Certificate of Completion in Artificial Intelligence and Career Development in recognition of their newly acquired skills.

The organisers urged schools, parents and students to take advantage of the initiative, describing it as a platform that combines technology education, academic excellence and career development to nurture the next generation of innovators, entrepreneurs and technology leaders.

They noted that as Artificial Intelligence continues to reshape industries and workplaces worldwide, early exposure to digital skills and emerging technologies is becoming increasingly important in preparing young people for future success.
