The organizers of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine (HAM) 2026 have nominated three prominent Nigerians for recognition at the fifth edition of the annual event.

The nominees are Dr. Sadeeq Abba Sayyadi Ruma, Chief Chidi Amaeze, and Alhaji Yusuf Bukar Mandara (Dujima of Borno).

According to the organizers, the nominations celebrate their outstanding contributions to community development, social welfare, philanthropy, and humanitarian advancement in their respective fields.

Dr. Sadeeq Abba Sayyadi Ruma was nominated for his leadership and community-based initiatives. Chief Chidi Amaeze, CEO of Senatorch Limited and Chairman of the Chidi Amaeze Foundation, was recognized for his philanthropic interventions and support for vulnerable communities. Alhaji Yusuf Bukar Mandara was nominated for his longstanding humanitarian service and community support initiatives in Northern Nigeria.

The 5th Edition of the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine is scheduled to hold in Abuja from 27 to 29 August 2026 under the theme “United For Humanity.”

The three-day event will feature a Humanitarian Outreach and Press Conference on 27 August, the Nigerian Humanitarian Conference on 28 August, and the Awards and Dinner Night on 29 August. All activities will take place at the Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja.

Founder and President of HAM, Emmanuel Anabueze, said the platform was created to recognize and document individuals and organizations making measurable humanitarian contributions across Nigeria.

“The 2026 edition reflects the importance of collective responsibility and collaboration in addressing social challenges,” he stated.

Established in 2022 under the Humanitarian Achievement and Outreach Foundation (HAOF), the Nigerian Humanitarian Awards & Magazine has grown into a respected national platform for celebrating excellence in healthcare, education, youth empowerment, women development, philanthropy, and community service.

The 2026 edition is expected to attract government officials, First Ladies, development agencies, NGOs, and private sector stakeholders from across the country.
