WARRI, Delta State — The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has commenced a five-day intensive training programme on networking and cybersecurity for youths in Warri, Delta State.

The training, which began on Monday, is being implemented by Divine Communications Integrated Services Limited on behalf of the NCDMB as part of efforts to equip young people in the Niger Delta with digital skills and improve their employment prospects.

The programme will provide participants with practical, job-ready skills in modern network infrastructure, ethical hacking, threat detection and data protection.

Speaking at the opening session, representatives of Divine Communications said the course was designed to bridge the skills gap in Nigeria’s growing ICT and cybersecurity sector.

They said participants would receive hands-on training in router and switch configuration, network security and cyber risk management.

Some of the participants expressed optimism that the programme would position them to compete for both remote and on-site opportunities in IT support, network administration and cybersecurity.

The five-day training will run throughout the week and conclude with the presentation of certificates to participants.
