A member of the House of Representatives representing Edu/Moro/Patigi Federal Constituency, Hon. Ahmed Adamu Saba, has congratulated Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Engr. Yakubu Danladi-Salihu, following his emergence as the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate for the 2027 election.

In a statement made available to journalists in Ilorin, Saba also commended President Bola Tinubu and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq for what he described as their leadership and support for zoning the party’s governorship ticket to Kwara North.

The lawmaker described the development as significant for the people of Kwara North, saying it had strengthened their sense of inclusion in the state’s political process.

Saba, who is Chairman of the Belgium-Nigeria Parliamentary Friendship Group, expressed appreciation to the party leadership for Danladi-Salihu’s emergence, describing it as an opportunity for the district.

According to him, the development reflects the APC’s commitment to fairness, inclusiveness and equitable representation.

The Deputy Chairman of the House Committee on Judiciary, Pension and National Assembly Matters expressed confidence that Danladi-Salihu would build on the achievements of the AbdulRazaq administration if elected governor.

He also urged traditional rulers, APC leaders and other stakeholders across the state to support the party’s candidate ahead of the 2027 governorship election.

Saba said the decision had renewed hope among the people of Kwara North and reinforced their confidence in the party’s leadership.

“It gives the people of Kwara North a greater sense of belonging in Kwara politics. We believe this opportunity will inspire more progress, unity and development across the region,” he said.

The lawmaker added that Kwara North remained committed to contributing to the development of the state and pledged continued support for good governance.

He congratulated Danladi-Salihu on his emergence and urged him to remain committed to excellence, integrity and service to the people.

Saba also reaffirmed his commitment to working with stakeholders to promote unity, development and sustainable progress in Kwara State and Nigeria.
