UK-based Nigerian, Adah Salka has deplored the use of AI-powered agricultural technology to boost farming in some parts of northern Nigeria.
Salka, who is the CEO of Bahaushe Foods, made this known in a press release yesterday, stating that the AI-powered technology is being deplored to improve farming in the north central states of Nasarawa and Niger States as well as Borno State in the northeast.
She said that in the fast-paced world of global technology, the most meaningful innovations are the ones that solve real problems in the toughest environments.
Armed with a double honours Master’s degree in Advertising and Marketing from a prestigious UK institution and a deep background in the tech sector, Adah is using her international expertise to reshape the agricultural landscape in Northern Nigeria.
“Northern Nigeria has always been the nation’s breadbasket, but it faces incredibly unique hurdles. Security challenges in states like Borno and Niger have frequently disrupted supply chains, leaving hardworking farmers unable to get their produce to market. This is exactly where leadership has made a transformative difference,” Salka said.
Through Bahaushe Foods, she has built an AI-driven AgriTech business model that ensures farmers can still sell their crops, even when volatility and disruptions strike.
By using Artificial Intelligence to analyze security risks and optimize logistics in real time, she has created a resilient, reliable bridge between rural farmers and urban markets.
Her approach does much more than just facilitate trade; it provides a genuine lifeline to communities whose entire livelihoods depend on the soil. She is making sure that the fruits of their labor don’t go to waste because of external security pressures.
Salka’s background is a rare and powerful blend of creative communication and technical skill. Her double honours in Advertising and Marketing have given her the exact tools needed to build a brand that truly resonates not just with local producers, but with international stakeholders as well.
By applying smart, sophisticated branding and communication strategies to Nigerian agriculture, she is elevating the profile of Northern Nigerian produce on a global scale.
“Under her guidance, Bahaushe Foods isn’t just a traditional food company; it’s an AgriTech pioneer. By using AI-powered predictive analytics to forecast market trends and map out the safest, most efficient distribution routes, the company has been able to thrive in areas where others might struggle. This smart integration of AI into traditional farming is a true hallmark of her leadership, and a major reason why she is recognized as a talent of global caliber.
“As Nigeria continues to look for sustainable ways to achieve food security and economic diversification, leaders like Adah Salka are absolutely indispensable. Her ability to operate seamlessly at the intersection of technology, advertising, marketing, and agriculture proves that the diaspora can play a massive role in national development.
“Through Bahaushe Foods, Salka isn’t just selling food; she is selling a vision of a tech-empowered Africa. Her journey from the lecture halls of the UK to the farm gates of Northern Nigeria is a powerful reminder of what happens when global talent meets local grit. For the farmers in Nasarawa, Niger, and Borno, Adah Salka is much more than a CEO. She is a true partner in progress, proving that with the right technology and AI-driven insights, no challenge is insurmountable,”
she stated.
