New urban development project launched to boost investment in Abuja’s Jabi district

A mixed-use development aimed at redefining urban living, commercial activity and investment opportunities has been launched in Abuja’s Federal Capital Territory.

The project, Jabi Prime Hub, was officially flagged off in the Jabi District, a high-value residential and commercial area of the capital.

Speaking at the launch, the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of FJGlobal Properties Limited, Dr Femi Joshua, said the development was designed as a fully integrated live-work-play environment combining residential apartments, office spaces, retail outlets, hospitality components and lifestyle facilities within a single master-planned scheme.

He said the project responds to rising demand for integrated urban communities that reduce commuting pressures while improving productivity, convenience and overall quality of life.

The development is strategically located in Jabi, with close proximity to Maitama, Wuse, Utako and the Central Business District, a positioning expected to strengthen its appeal to residents, businesses and investors.

Dr Joshua said the project has entered its mobilisation and pre-construction phase, with full-scale construction scheduled to begin in July 2026.

He added that completion is projected within 18 to 24 months, with delivery expected by mid-2028, subject to regulatory approvals and construction milestones.

He said the scheme aligns with broader urban development objectives in Abuja, including the promotion of integrated city living, job creation, increased commercial activity and the attraction of both local and diaspora investment into Nigeria’s real estate sector.

The development is designed to serve a wide range of users, including professionals, entrepreneurs, corporate organisations, middle- and upper-middle-income earners, institutional investors and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking secure long-term property investments.

Occupying approximately 37,000 square metres of land, the project will feature an eight-storey mixed-use structure comprising 52 residential apartments, premium office spaces, more than 20 commercial and retail units, rooftop recreational facilities and about 85 parking spaces, supported by modern infrastructure services.

Dr Joshua said the concept is inspired by global demand for integrated urban communities where residential, commercial and recreational functions coexist within a coordinated environment, adding that such models improve efficiency, reduce travel time and encourage economic interaction.

He described the development as a self-sustaining urban ecosystem designed to combine residential comfort, commercial productivity, lifestyle convenience and investment value within one environment.

The project also marks a key expansion by FJGlobal Properties Limited into large-scale integrated development, moving beyond its existing portfolio of real estate investment, property acquisition, advisory and marketing services.

To deliver the scheme, the company has assembled a multidisciplinary team of professionals in engineering, architecture, construction and project management.

Dr Joshua said the project is expected to stimulate increased economic activity in Jabi and surrounding districts through commercial transactions, business expansion opportunities and investment inflows.

“Rather than separating residential, commercial and recreational activities, Jabi Prime Hub brings them together in one carefully planned environment,” he said.

“The objective is to improve quality of life, reduce commuting challenges, promote business growth and create stronger economic communities.“

“At its core, the project is designed to support residential comfort, commercial productivity, social interaction and sustainable investment growth.“

“It is targeted at professionals, entrepreneurs, corporate organisations, middle-income and upper-middle-income earners, institutional investors, and Nigerians in the diaspora seeking secure investment opportunities,” he added.
