The Agbelebu Solidarity Forum, ASF, has inaugurated its network of Street Captains across all wards in Agege Constituency I, marking a major step in its grassroots mobilization strategy ahead of the 2027 General Elections.

The inauguration, which attracted party faithful, community leaders, youth mobilizers, and political stakeholders, is designed to strengthen the forum’s grassroots structure and enhance voter engagement across every street and community within the constituency.

The initiative is aimed at galvanizing massive support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the governorship aspiration of Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, the anticipated Lagos State House of Assembly candidature of Gbenga Abiola also known as Agbelebu for Agege Constituency I, as well as all candidates of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the forthcoming elections.

Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, the Director-General of the Agbelebu Solidarity Forum, Dr. Jamiu Ademosu, described the newly appointed Street Captains as the backbone of the forum’s grassroots political machinery and a critical link between the people and the leadership of the party.

According to him, the appointment of Street Captains is part of a broader strategy to build one of the most effective grassroots political structures in Lagos State, capable of reaching voters at the ward, street, household, and individual levels.

Ademosu informed the appointees that they would work alongside dedicated ward and community mobilizers assigned to their respective areas, with the responsibility of coordinating voter outreach, community engagement, political education, and grassroots sensitization activities.

He charged them to immediately commence intensive door-to-door campaigns, voter registration awareness drives, stakeholder engagements, and community-based mobilization efforts aimed at promoting the achievements and developmental strides of the APC-led governments at the federal, state, and local government levels.

“The success of any political movement lies in the strength of its grassroots structure. As Street Captains, you are the first point of contact with the people. You must remain accessible, committed, and proactive in engaging residents, communicating the achievements of our leaders, and mobilizing support for the party’s vision and candidates,” Ademosu stated.

He further urged the newly inaugurated officials to uphold the values of loyalty, discipline, dedication, and service while working tirelessly to deepen the relationship between the party and the electorate.

The Director-General also noted that the Agbelebu Solidarity Forum remains committed to supporting policies and programs that promote youth empowerment, community development, economic growth, and inclusive governance, in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the progressive ideals of the APC.

With the inauguration of the Street Captains, the Agbelebu Solidarity Forum has reaffirmed its readiness to intensify grassroots engagement, strengthen party structures, and consolidate support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Hon. Gbenga Abiola (Agbelebu), and all APC candidates as preparations for the 2027 elections continue to gather momentum.

The event concluded with the formal presentation of appointment letters to the Street Captains, alongside a charge to immediately commence community outreach, voter mobilization, membership drive activities, and political engagement programs within their respective wards and streets.

The Agbelebu Solidarity Forum expressed confidence that the newly inaugurated team will play a pivotal role in delivering overwhelming electoral victories for the APC while ensuring that the voices and aspirations of the people of Agege Constituency I remain at the center of governance and development.
