The Dare Adeboye Foundation, in partnership with the Ogun State Government, successfully
hosted the Future Leaders Assembly (FLA) 2026.
The event held at the Redemption camp, Ogun State, featured notable personalities, including Oluwagbemileke Adeboye, Chairman of the Board, Dare Adeboye Foundation; Mrs Oluwatosin Moriamo Oloko, Permanent Secretary of the Ogun State Ministry of Education; actress, author and speaker, Juliana Olayode; and Mrs Temiloluwa Adeboye, Member of the Board, Dare Adeboye.
The event theme “Think Global, Act Local: Raising the Next Generation of Leaders” brought together about 150 secondary schools, about 2,500 students, alongside tutors, teachers, policymakers, and youth development stakeholders for a transformative day of leadership, diplomacy, civic engagement, and innovation.
In her address, Mrs Oluwatosin Moriamo Oloko, Permanent Secretary, Ogun State Ministry of Education, described the programme as highly impactful and commended the Foundation for creating a platform that equips young people with the values of diplomacy, dialogue, and conflict resolution. She emphasised that leadership begins with integrity, discipline, hard work, and excellence, while reaffirming the Ogun State government’s commitment to quality education and encouraging students to see themselves as future leaders and solution providers capable of driving meaningful impact locally and globally.
On her part, Mrs Temiloluwa Adeboye, Member of the Board, stated that the programme was designed to inspire innovation, critical thinking, and collective action among young people. She described the event as a transformative milestone in the leadership journeys of the participating students.
Also speaking, Juliana Olayode in her keynote address, shared her personal experience on discipline, resilience, purpose, and intentional leadership, urging students to embrace continuous self-development and understand that leadership begins with daily habits and personal responsibility.
One of the major highlights of the event was the Ogun State Secondary School Model United Nations General Assembly, themed “Preparing Young People for the Future of Work in a Global Digital Economy,” where students representing different global regions debated pressing issues, including unemployment, skills gaps, and educational deficiencies.
