As the global community celebrates Easter, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN) Diaspora has extended its warmest greetings to Nigerian youths worldwide, issuing a renewed call for unity, hope, and resilience.

In a statement released on Easter Sunday, the NYCN Diaspora President, Amb. Collins Osazee Idahosa, urged young Nigerians living abroad to embrace the spirit of the season—a time signifying sacrifice and the triumph of light over darkness.

“Easter reminds us that no matter the challenges we face as a diaspora community or as a
nation, there is always a path to renewal,” stated Amb. Idahosa.

“I encourage every young Nigerian abroad to remain resilient, law-abiding, and committed to the excellence for which our people are known. Let this season inspire us to bridge divides and work together for the collective progress of our homeland.”

Alongside the holiday address, Amb. Idahosa officially announced that the NYCN Diaspora will host a landmark event this summer to commemorate the 62nd Anniversary of the National Youth Council of Nigeria.

Themed ‘One Vision, One Future: Youth Driving National Progress’, the 62nd Anniversary Symposium and Gala Award is scheduled to hold in London on Saturday, August 22, 2026.

The event featuring and gala award promises a high-level dialogue focusing on the role of the diaspora in Nigeria’s socio-economic development and national progress. The gala award will witness the celebration of outstanding Nigerian youths who have made significant contributions to the global community.

“This symposium is more than a celebration; it is a strategic gathering to align our shared vision for a prosperous Nigeria,” Amb. Idahosa added.
