Osogbo — The Chairman of the Osun State Water Corporation Board, Samuel Oyedotun, has resigned his appointment to pursue a senatorial bid.

In a resignation letter dated March 26, 2026, and addressed to Governor Ademola Adeleke, Oyedotun said his decision was driven by a desire to seek elective office and expand his scope of public service.

He stated that he intends to represent Osun East Senatorial District in the National Assembly, describing his ambition as part of a broader commitment to the development of the state and the country.

The former chairman reaffirmed his support for the Adeleke administration, noting that his political aspiration aligns with the government’s development objectives. He also pledged to continue serving the people if given the mandate.

Oyedotun, also known as Sam Oyus, highlighted achievements recorded during his tenure in the water sector, adding that efforts were made to improve access to potable water across the state.

He commended the governor’s leadership and support, which he said contributed to the execution of key projects under his watch.
