ENUGU – The Igwe-Elect of Amankanu Ohofia in Oduma, Aninri Local Government Area, Chief Ekenedilichukwu Ekpete (Onodugo 1), has praised Governor Peter Ndubuisi Mbah for transformative initiatives driving development across Enugu State.
Speaking over the weekend after inspecting ongoing projects in Aninri LGA, Onodugo 1 described the current administration’s infrastructure projects as a “technocratic revolution” aimed at promoting economic growth and social inclusion.
He highlighted the construction of a modern General Hospital in Aninri and the rollout of “Smart Schools” across wards in the state as strategic investments in healthcare and education.
“What we are witnessing in Aninri is not just construction; it is the physical manifestation of a vision. The governor is not only building infrastructure but laying the foundation for a future where every child, regardless of background, has access to quality education,” he said.
Onodugo 1 called the Smart School model a “game changer,” capable of bridging the gap between communities through technology-driven learning.
He also noted that the state’s ongoing reforms are positioning Enugu as an emerging investment destination, pointing to improvements in ease of doing business and infrastructure development as key drivers.
“As an investor, I can see clear indicators of a stable and growing economy. The business environment in Enugu today is attractive and competitive,” he said, adding that he would encourage private sector participation to harness opportunities in the state.
Onodugo 1 urged residents of Aninri and Enugu State to continue supporting the administration, emphasizing that collaboration between communities and government is essential for achieving a “New Enugu” focused on inclusive growth and sustainable development.
