UK to host global African diaspora summit as leaders converge for investment, innovation drive

Iconic International Holdings, in partnership with Kulture Afrika Ltd, is set to host the 2026 edition of the Iconic Africa Diaspora Summit/Honors in the United Kingdom, bringing together influential Africans across the globe to drive investment, leadership and development initiatives on the continent.

The global gathering, themed “The Global Bridge: Consolidating Diaspora Capital for Continental Transformation,” will hold in July, 2026,at the White Diamond Events Centre in Coventry, United Kingdom.

According to the organisers, the summit is expected to attract distinguished guests, global leaders, entrepreneurs and visionaries from across Africa and the diaspora for a high-profile event dedicated to recognition, celebration and strategic engagement on Africa’s development.

Chief Executive Officer of Iconic International Holdings, Tinotenda Michelle Chavundura, said the event will serve as a powerful platform to recognise excellence, celebrate transformational leadership and promote innovation, unity and sustainable development across Africa and beyond.

She explained that the initiative reflects the organisation’s commitment to empowering individuals whose contributions are driving meaningful change within society while strengthening global recognition for impactful African leadership.

Also speaking, President and Founder of Iconic International Holdings Group, Amb. Dr. Temisan O. Louis, said the 2026 edition aims to spotlight Africans in the diaspora who are making exceptional contributions in their respective fields while encouraging them to channel investments and development opportunities back to their home countries on the continent.

He added that the summit will also honour influential African leaders and entrepreneurs while promoting actionable strategies to advance the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) across Africa.

“The summit aims to transcend ceremony by positioning itself as a high-level forum for strategic dialogue and mobilising the more than 20 million Africans in the diaspora to move beyond remittances towards direct investment and impactful development initiatives,” he said.

In her remarks during a press briefing, Executive Director of Iconic International Holdings, Malaika Lobengula, noted that the summit would spark conversations capable of shaping policy, empowering youth and women-led enterprises, and helping reshape Africa’s global narrative.

Lobengula disclosed that the event will feature two major segments, beginning with a Morning Summit Session at 11:00 a.m., which will host a thought-provoking conference involving global policymakers, industry leaders and development experts.

The Evening Session, scheduled for 5:00 p.m., will feature a prestigious black-tie gala and awards ceremony, where 100 outstanding African icons will be honoured for excellence in business, innovation and community development.

The evening will also showcase cultural entertainment, including the Face of Africa Beauty Pageant and the maiden edition of Miss Africa West Midlands, where contestants will compete for prizes worth over £5,000.

Director of Kulture Afrika Ltd (UK), Balogun Kabiru Abiodun, said the segment will celebrate African heritage and creativity, describing the programme as a vibrant display of African culture in the United Kingdom.

Lobengula further called on African maidens between the ages of 18 and 25 to take advantage of the opportunity by registering for the pageant and summit, while also urging corporate organisations and partners to support the initiative through sponsorship.

She added that the event will not only celebrate African excellence but also strengthen global partnerships aimed at accelerating development across the continent.
