103 students benefit from Tony Ndah Foundation’s WAEC scholarship scheme

ASABA – OVER 103 secondary school students of Asaba, Delta State, origin have benefited from the maiden Tony Ndah Foundation West Africa Examination Council, WAEC, Scholarship scheme.

The benefiting students were drawn from 12 public secondary schools in the State capital.

Speaking at the Ogwa–Ukwu Ahaba, during the presentation of cheque boards to the students, the Asagba of Asaba, HRM Prof. Epiphany Azinge, SAN commended the Tony Ndah Foundation for putting together, the scholarship scheme.

He said: “We are here because we want to endorse the good work he is doing for us. Tony Ndah is single-handedly building a Museum at the palace ground worth over N400 million, and in addition to that he is also trying to extend substantial sum of money to build up the future of our children.

“We must support him; we must identify with him. But for you our dear ones, the saying will always be: ‘To whom much is given, much is expected’.

Earlier, the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, Mr. Tony Ndah said the scholarship was a springboard for beneficiaries to achieve their aspirations.

Tony Ndah who was represented by Obiageli Ndah, said: “We believe that supporting education is the best way to invest in the collective future of our youths.Today, we honour these incredible WAEC scholarship recipients as shining examples of hard work and potentials.”

According to him “success is not just reaching a goal; it is being the best that you can be”, adding that the scholarship would enable them focus on learning to pursue their various callings.

Ndah expressed optimism that the recipients would one day, become the mentors and donors of the next generation. “We look forward to the remarkable contributions you will make in the years ahead”, Ndah added.

Speaking with newsmen moments after, Coordinator of the Tony Ndah Foundation Scholarship Scheme in Nigeria, Mrs. Helen Dunkwu, said the Foundation was a notable contributor to development in Asaba, adding that the the 2025/2026 WAEC fee of the beneficiaries had been paid for by the Foundation.

She explained that the scheme was basically to see the beneficiaries through their WAEC examinations, adding that upon gaining administration into the university, the Foundation would come up with a follow-up scholarship scheme for the successful candidates.
