The National Association of Nigerian Students, NANS Zone D has passed a vote of confidence on the All Progressives Congress, APC’s governorship candidate, Mr Bola Oyebamiji, AMBO, to enhance proper youths involvement in governance.

The group also disclosed that Oyebamiji, if elected as Governor would ensure spread of dividends of democracy across all the zones in the State rather concentrating on a particular part at the detriment of the others.

Speaking with newsmen in Osogbo, Osun State capital, NANS Zone D Coordinator, Mr. Owolewa Taiwo disclosed that Oyebamiji’s antecedents among students and youths indicated that he would promote youth-oriented policies and enhance students welfare.

His words, “We in NANS Zone D have deliberated democratically and resolved unanimously to pass a vote of confidence on AMBO as the Governorship candidate to be elected for Osun State in August 2026.

“As a consistent supporter of youth development, acknowledged education and student engagement, AMBO has demonstrated capacity, accessibility, and commitment to inclusive leadership. His impeccable antecedents and outstanding records of excellence and success in public service and his continuous relationship with students and young people across Osun State and the Southwest clearly reflect a leader who understands governance from the people’s perspective. AMBO has demonstrated that governance is for students, women, men, young people, artisans, professionals, and civil servants, to mention a few.

“Consequently, we call on the good people of Osun State to rally round, support, and actively participate in the democratic process that will usher in purposeful leadership and sustainable development for the state”.

The group also expressed confidence that Oyebamiji, of elected would ensure that each zones of the State is benefit from the State’s common pool rather than concentrating infrastructure development to a particular zone.

“We know he will shun nepotism and brazen neglect of other people and places interests and develop all part of Osun State with respect and fairness. It is our believed conviction that Osun people deserve such inclusive, highly educated, amiable and accommodating Governor that AMBO typifies”, he added.
